Achievements in 2008 / 2009

The school has a proud tradition of accolades in both academic and non-academic activities.
  • 12th Top School in Co. Cork (and 9th in Co. Cork excluding fee paying schools) in Irish Times League Tables of feeder schools to third level colleges in 2008
  • 16th Top Girls School in the country and 7th excluding fee paying schools in Irish Independent School League Tables in 2008
  • One student achieved 600 points in the Leaving Certificate, 2009 and is now pursuing Modern & Medieval Languages in University of Cambridge, England
  • Another student got 560 points and is now studying Law & German in UCC

  • Winners of the first prize in the ‚ÄòAgri Aware Healthy Eating Challenge, 2008.
  • Second place in All Ireland Final of the AIB sponsored ‚ÄòBuild a Bank Challenge‚Äô in 2009
  • The school choir came first in the All Ireland Briery Gap Choral Competition in 2009 and second in 2008.

  • All Ireland winners of Science Debating Issues Competition sponsored by Tyndall Medical Research Centre, U.C.C. in 2009

  • Regional Winners of 1st Year Girls Basketball League.

  • All Ireland Boxing Champion.
  • First in 100 Metre Sprint in All Ireland Track & Field Championships in May 2009.
